This happened on last Saturday night, after work, when I’m waiting for the bus to go back to KL.
At the bus station…
I’m waiting alone at the bus station, suddenly one guy sit next to me. I shocked. Chinese, age around 22-24. Wonder why he wants to sit next to me since there still have empty seats. This guy looks like someone work in car repair shop, I starting to worry then, looking at what inside the plastic bag he’s holding, and try to move my bag away from him.
Suddenly he turn back and ask me: What’s the time now?
I’m reply very slow: … Is… emmm… 5mins before 10… (silent)
I’m thinking: OMG… this guy try to ask the time and look at my watch… what he try to do???
Then he ask: You think there still have bus to go to
Me: emmm… Think so… (What he try to do??? If no bus then???)
OMG… I feel very dangerous and try to move to the seat next to me, but… he’s looking at me… OMG… I try to look to some other places… I cannot bring out my phone, later don know what will happen… Looking around see anyone else here… too bad, this late no other people nearby here de… OMG…
This guy start to talk to me again: Where are you going?
Me: Emmm… KL…
Guy: Wau, so late still want to go to KL??? You stay there?
Me: Emmm…. Emmm… No… Going to friend’s place… (I’m lying)
Guy: Oh… so you staying here?
Me: Ya…
Guy: How old are you?
Me: Me??? Twenty something…
Guy: You look like student, I think you only 22-23, right?
Me: Ha… Ha… Not that young…
Guy: Still study?
Me: Oh… No… graduated de… emmm… ya… now working…
Guy: So where you work? Work as???
Me: (OMG… should I tell him the truth?) emmm… I’m an optician… ya…
Guy: Working at the optical shop here???
Me: Ya… you??? (This the first question for this guy after so many questions he asked)
Guy: Oh… I’m a photographer…
Me: (o.O) huh??? Photographer?? You…
Guy: Ya… I’m photographer…
Me: emmm… you the assistant or you really a photographer???
Guy: You don’t believe that I’m a photographer? I’m working in ‘D’bride’ behind here…
Me: (What?!! ‘D’bride????) oh… (I’m not so believe in what he told, but try to ask him something about his job, try to verify something…) So, what’s your job? Just taking photo? Or…?
Guy: Oh, I’m photographer cum graphic designer, so sometimes need to design also… our company not only taking photo for pre-wedding, but also doing some photo shooting for magazine, advertisement…
After he tell me this, I feel better, at least know that this guy not gangster, or bad guy. But still thinking why he work so late and why he looks like a guy work in workshop than work in studio.
Not thing special when we talk about work, but it’s funny when he asks: So do you have girlfriend?
Me: *shock… emmm… no… still single…
Guy: really? You look so handsome, still single?? Cannot believe that…
Me: (huh??? What the meaning behind this question??) *smile… Oh the bus is here… (Thanks God, I’m safe)
Guy: oh… good… (He’s looking at me but not the bus…)
On bus…
I’m sitting slightly behind him, no choice, too many people behind there… I just listen to my iPod, try not to look at him, but he’s looking at me, he taking out his phone, then I turn to another side, look out to the window.
When the bus reach the station in city center, he say goodbye to me before he go. I notice that he already cross to the opposite road.
The story hasn’t finished…
Suddenly he cross the road again and pass by my window, I thought that he wanna get the bus behind, but not, after few second, he pass by again, I try to turn my head to another side. Then the bus starts moving… He walks slowly and when the bus passes by him, he keeps looking inside…
The End…
I’m not sure tonight will meet with him or not, hopefully not. Just a very funny experience.
