Good News and Bad News

Last night bad thing was happened to my desktop, the LCD was not working when I try to on it to watch some tv series. Don't know what happened, tried to change the cable, check the connection, do this and that but not thing work.

Felt so bad on the night before my offday, planned was spoiled, no tv series for the night, not thing to do. No other reason not going to sleep early, around 1 something. Feel so bad because thinking need to pay for another RM 500 to get the new one. Make decision to send it back for fixing to cut down my cost. Today as what I planned is to send the broken floor lamp back to Ikea. Thanks for Takashi for recommend me to the good customer service officer, Mary. She's really nice and helpful. Last sunday called her and told her about the lamp, and she ask me to see her on my next offday, today, to pass her the goods and she promised she can help me on this. When the time I meet her, she just take my receipt and issues me one return voucher, without asking anything or checking the broken stuff that I sent. Then she asks me to get a new one from the store without paying anything in extra.

My next mission is to send my Dead-LCD for repair. When I pass them my LCD and told them wanna get it fix, they ask me weather it still under warranty or not. I told them not because I bought it for sometimes de.

The good thing happen when I pass them my receipt and one of the guy told me that my LCD actually still under warranty, because the brand I bought actually warranty for 3yrs. I'm so happy and thinking no need to pay for extra. The bad news is I need to leave it there for three weeks to one month. Now I'm headache how I gonna find the one borrow for one month.

This the good news and bad news happened on me, something good, something bad, this called life.

Missing

Recently seldom update my blog, maybe not thing happen in my life or maybe life too boring, most of my time spent in my work. Work not too busy make me feel so boring, cannot do anything in the branch make me felt like wasting my time.

Now on my offday only know that I need to take more rest, sometimes whole day stay at home without going anywhere, too lazy to go out de. Missing that time so free when I'm working in the mobile team. Now cannot watch all the movie on the screen, cannot go for gym classes, no freedom at all. Maybe last time was too free so make me use to it de.

Photography session even worst, never go out for any shooting since I start work here. So sad. My lovely camera everyday just stay inside the drawer. This weekend try to get a new camera bag at the camera fair in Mid Valley, since my old one need to get a replacement de. Hopefully can get one there.

Boring here, so sleepy. Wrote this during my working hour, inside refraction room. Yawn...

What a BAD day

Today really ‘sui’ la… Just bought a new floor lamp from Ikea… RM139… happy happy to set it up, who knows when the time move it into my bedroom then ‘ter-hit’ the door… Just heard the sound ‘piaaanngggggg’… then you know what happen next de…

 

Look at the broken lamp… haiz… maybe it too tall and i over estimate the height of the door frame de… so it just happened…

 

SAD~~~~ don’t know Ikea selling the spare-part for the lamp or not… most of the people I asked told me that no replacement for that… so sad… maybe need to DIY with some plastic card board de…

 

This the one I get… and I broke it too… :’(

日本最重要的两个摄影奖项 ── 木村伊兵卫摄影奖及土门拳摄影奖近期刚刚揭晓，年仅29岁的摄影师浅田政志以一组精心策划的"家庭写真"《浅田家》脱颖而出，获得第34届木村伊兵卫摄影奖，第28届土门拳摄影奖则由Yumi Himezaki获得。

浅田政志的《浅田家》堪称妙趣横生，这名年轻摄影师调动起全家人，共同发挥想象力，爸爸妈妈哥哥弟弟一起来玩角色扮演，在不同的场景下构建一个又一个充满故事的画面：从消防员部队到街头黑帮，从摇滚乐队到朝九晚五的上班族，这一家人的表现可绝对让你忍俊不禁，不仅带给观者十足的乐趣，又从更深一层触及日本的传统文化，展示出日本社会当下的真实面貌，引人思考 ── 原来摄影还可以是这样的：）

 

关于『木村伊兵卫摄影奖』&『土门拳摄影奖』
木村伊兵卫摄影奖（Ihei Kimura Prize）由朝日新闻主办，主要宗旨为挖掘出色的日本新生摄影师，相比之下，《每日新闻》的土门拳摄影奖（Domon Ken Prize）则更侧重于选择有所成就的摄影师。

Sony World Photoraphy Awards 摄影奖2009年评选结果刚刚出炉，这个诞生才不过2年的摄影奖项已不再固守当初的谨慎，开始摸索自己的风格，构建自己的观点，颇值得推荐。

 

 

今年一共有来自22个国家的44名摄影师获得殊荣，Sony将于4月16日在嘎纳的Palais des Festivals上宣布最重要的年度摄影师获奖者，除此之外，所有专业组获奖选手将获得25000美元奖金，业余组奖金也高达5000美元。

Fujifilm从未放弃过对胶片的执着，除了去年的“Choose Film”胶片主题站外，还建立了一个仅向使用胶片的摄影爱好者开放的摄影奖项 ── Distinctions Awards，亦如其名，颇为“特立独行”。
首届Distinctions胶片摄影奖一共有超过3000名摄影师参加评选。英国摄影师David Brunetti以一张肖像作品获得最佳奖项，你可以在伦敦的Bayeux画廊看到所有入围作品。
2009年的Fujifilm Distinctions Awards作品提交将从4月1日开始。

Boring Day

Working, the term that caring the meaning of Busy, keeps people away from relaxing life, enjoyable moment… For me, the meaning of the term is the other way round. Today back to work after three days off in a row, thought that should have something to do, but from morning until now I have nothing to do but walk in and out, chatting…

 

Working in retail working hour maybe a bit long for the people who use to be at home during the sunset. For us in the retail, our job is to stand by in the branch for customer to walk-in when they need us. Now everyday at least 6 of us working in the branch which not bigger than half of the place now I’m staying. Sometimes feel a bit overloaded, too many people de…

 

Some more too bad to stay in the little mall that you got no place that you can go, the only place that we can always go is the hypermarket. No bookstore, no place to shopping. Sometimes really wish that some friends can visit me during my working day. The location of this place also one of the reason less people to visit me. Everytime when I tell people where I work, they will give me the same reaction: Huh??? So Far ah!… Ya I know it’s so far… :|

“我喜欢拍摄没有人的‘肖像’，在我眼中，每一个场景都有自己的张力。” —— Flora Hanitijo，今年PDN30新锐中我们非常喜欢的一名女摄影师，出生于香港，在澳门长大，中学时随家人移民到加拿大，26岁时候在巴黎生活过一段时间，现在则在纽约工作。
“在我成长的过程中搬过太多次家，因此一直缺少一种稳定的安全感。”生活中的经历自然也体现到Hanitijo的作品中，她喜欢拍摄各种各样的题材，无论肖像、风景，还是音乐、时尚，你总能从她的照片里感受到一种对模糊记忆的追溯与怀念。

“我喜欢拍摄没有人的‘肖像’，在我眼中，每一个场景都有自己的张力。”Hanitijo喜欢用‘autoportraits’来形容自己的风景照片，“我总是在寻找一个安家的地方，从某种意义上来说，几棵树、几栋房子，就可以描绘出自我的存在。”
Flora Hanitijo的作品视角细腻，画面充满感触，并且拥有一种独特的气氛。在她从曼哈顿Cooper联合大学毕业后的几年时间里，Hanitijo为不同的摄影师做摄影助理，并且参与了很多时尚摄影的项目。在采访中，Hanitijo也给了年轻摄影师们一个简单的建议：“拍你想拍的，并为自己找一个代理。”
“我走到哪都会带着我那台小巧的Yashica相机，它就如同我的绘画本。你只要不停地坚持拍你感兴趣的照片，最终总会有所收获。”

The Day I Stay Home

Work with the new company for one week de, not bad, still use to the life back to front line. Long hours of working hour still ok for me, the only thing is I got no time to do my own work, on my working days I can’t even do any house work or sometimes even too tired to check my mail after work.

This weekend will enjoy a long weekend due to too many people working in branch, and HR want some of us take off on the public holiday. Since I’m still not use to the working hours, and wish to take off on the long weekend, so I choose to volunteer myself to take three days off. No plan for the weekend but just wish to take some rest. Some more I still haven’t recover yet from my sore throat and flu…

Stay at home to do some housework, since my study room still messy, things not fully organize, take sometimes to get it well organize. On the desktop still have work for me to get it done, so no reason for me to go out.

Now have to get back to my work…

肖像就如同一个无限循环的游戏，想象一个挂满镜子的房间，摄影师透过镜头观察模特，模特透过镜头注视照片的读者，读者则通过照片窥探到模特与摄影师的世界。你很难说清谁是被摆布的棋子，谁又是游戏的主角。
摄影展“Look Me in the Eyes”便是这样一个充满探索的尝试，策展人以俄罗斯的肖像为主题，将Evgeny Mokhorev、Oleg DOU、Marina Lapina、Margo Ovcherenko等具有代表性的Fine-Art摄影师作品聚于一展，试图通过肖像这种最具身份认同及主观表达的方式来探讨“什么才是俄罗斯摄影？”这个更为广袤的议题。

很巧的是，我们在Moleskine中国的朋友最近也在筹备一个名为“My Moleskine”的活动，寻找身在上海的设计师与插画师参加，创作以“中国”为主题的Moleskine本本。
